Sam Hutsby is one of the UK’s top young professional golfing prospects, who grew up in
Lee-on-Solent and regularly trained here at Hedge End Golf Centre, making the most of
our top-of-the-range facilities and equipment.

Sam’s road to stardom
In 2006, Sam won the Spanish Amateur Championship to earn a European Tour debut in the 2007
Open de España, and also made the Amateur Championship final in 2009. He has competed in over
80 golfing events in the last 3 years, and has made a great impression with his high table finishes,
particularly in the Final Stage at Qualifying School – where he finished second and turned
professional.

So far in 2011, Sam has competed in 8 events:

• Africa Open – positioned 51st
• Joburg Open
• Sicilian Open
• Open de Espana
• Mallorca Open – positioned 14th
• Madeira Island Open – positioned 41st
• Open de Saint Omer
